Mountain biking on a panoramic path or bike tours along the Drau’s quaint meadows. Who doesn’t dream of a romantic excursion into nature, with fields in full bloom, passing old castles and chateaus, gothic church towers and Romanesque chapels? The Glocknerhof in Berg offers you bicycle weekly packages, for people that really want to experience something. Bike rentals are of course included, as well as several other sports and health related activities.
The Drautal (Drau Valley) offers you the most attractive varieties of bicycle activities in Austria. The Drauradweg (Drau bike path) is a real marathon stretch, with about 230 km, going from Tobiaco in South Tirol Italy over Sillian in East Tirol, Lienz and Spittal an der Drau into the Carinthian lake area, passing the Millstättersee, Ossiachersee, Wörthersee and Klopeinersee (lakes) all the way to Völkermarkt and Slovenia. It’s easy even for kids to use.
Tour to Lienz and back by train: You go by bike to Lienz (35 km). After a city tour in one of the nicest cities of Austria and a ride with Osttirodler (an awesome modern Alpine Coaster with 2,7 km length) you go by train back to Berg im Drautal.

Besides the well-established Drau bike path, there are countless new bike-trekking possibilities that are advertised with their own biking brochures and trail maps. For example, the Bergdörfer-Panorama bike path, or the Burgen and Schlösser bike path. (Infos at hotel reception).
